After much trailing over the past few weeks Jersey Jack Pinball revealed their sixth title, Guns N’ Roses, based on their Not In This Lifetime… world tour which ran from 2016-2019.
The company had avoided revealing the title of their new release although it was widely known to be a music based on the popular band featuring Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and Melissa Reese.
As shown in the tease images, the game is designed by Eric Meunier with assistance from GnR guitarist Slash who is a well-known pinball fan and collaborated on the original Data East Guns N’ Roses game.
As with previous JJP titles, there are three models of the new title – Standard, Limited Edition and Collectors Edition. There will be a maximum of 500 Collectors Edition machines produced while the Limited Edition is limited to 5,000 units. There’s no limit on the Standard Edition.
The Standard edition features cartoon-style cabinet artwork, while the Premium shows arrangements of tour posters. The Collectors Edition, meanwhile, returns to a cartoon design. The Limited Edition includes red cabinet trim while the Collectors Edition has a purple finish. read more

This game has really impressed me! I thought how much more can pinball have added to it that seem doesn’t seem like a gimmick or something bolted on for the sake of claiming an industry first. The introduction of Hot Rails, and seeing them implemented was amazing.
Eric Meunier has out done himself with his second game! What the entire team has put together is one of the most theme integrated games I have seen! Having a licensor that is passionate about the product has really made a difference. I really like the wire forms looking like bass strings or the drum sticks being implemented as a ramp!! There was a lot of creativity that went into this design.
Keefer and team, as always, has provided a deep rule set that will give players from all backgrounds enjoyment!
GnR has gone beyond my expectations! This is innovation done right! Congrats to all involved!

AMI announced their most recent giveaway, in recognition of the 2020 live music event honoring guitarist Peter Green. One lucky fan will win the Mick Fleetwood and Friends Celebrate the Music of Peter Green and the Early Years of Fleetwood Mac super deluxe edition box set. The set comes with remastered audio recordings from the February 2020 concert on 4 LPs and 2 CDs. The set also includes a Blu-ray disc and 44-page book pack of images from the show. The contest is open June 11, 2021 through June 23, 2021. Music fans can enter the contest using the AMI Music app, available on iOS and Android. Contest entry is also available on any participating AMI jukebox.
Peter Green got his start in music at the age of 15, playing bass professionally in a number of cover bands in and around London. It was only after seeing how Eric Clapton expertly played his Les Paul, that he was persuaded to switch from bass to guitar. Green then got the chance of a lifetime when asked to take over lead guitar in John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers when Clapton left the band. A year later, Green had assembled a new band with former Bluesbreakers Mick Fleetwood and Jeremy Spencer. Fleetwood Mac was quickly signed to their first record deal and soon after achieved their first UK #1 with their song “Albatross.”
Green officially left the band in 1970 but continued on with solo and side projects. Over the years that followed, he had multiple uncredited appearances on various Fleetwood Mac recordings, including their experimental double album, Tusk. When Mick Fleetwood began to discuss the idea of a tribute to Green and the early years of their band, he found no shortage of rock guitarists who cited Green as a major influence. Some of the big names from the project include David Gilmour, Christine McVie, Steven Tyler, Bill Wyman, Noel Gallagher, and Kirk Hammett. Said Fleetwood: “The concert is a celebration of those early blues days where we all began and it’s important to recognize the profound impact Peter and the early Fleetwood Mac had on the world of music. Peter was my greatest mentor and it gives me such joy to pay tribute to his incredible talent.”

At IFPA, sanctioned events are starting August 1. According to their website:
The IFPA will officially resume sanctioning events for WPPR points starting August 1, 2021.
Tournament and League Directors are welcome to begin submitting events to the IFPA calendar using their tournament manager accounts. The 30-day advance notice rule is still in effect, so any event held on August 1 must be submitted by July 2. Until further notice, non-US events with fewer than 16 participants at private locations will be sanctioned provided that registration for those events is public. Any leagues that were unable to complete their 2020 seasons can pick up where they left off, but the IFPA will not retroactively sanction events: leagues or tournaments held between March 17, 2020, and July 31, 2021, are not eligible for WPPR points.
Please note the following updates on IFPA championships as we resume the sanctioning of events.
The 2021 qualifying seasons (with finals in 2022) for the following championship series have been cancelled:
– IFPA North American Championship Series
– IFPA Women’s North American Championship Series
– IFPA European Championship Series
– any IFPA Country Championship Series
The cancelled championships listed above will return with 2022 qualifying seasons (and finals in 2023). Sanctioning fees will continue to be collected in North America during the 2021 season. Those funds will be distributed as part of the 2022 season prize package.
The IFPA17 World Pinball Championship originally scheduled for June 2020 has been rescheduled for May 26-29, 2022. The 2022 IFPA Women’s World Championship and IFPA North American Pinball Championship have been cancelled.
We expect all organizers and attendees to follow the health and safety guidance from local health officials, the World Health Organization (WHO), and national bodies like the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). We encourage tournament directors to implement whatever health and safety requirements they feel will make their event as safe and welcoming as possible. As long as these guidelines are clearly stated upon announcement of the event, the IFPA supports their enforcement.
While we are thrilled to resume sanctioning, we want to acknowledge that not all organizers, venue owners, and tournament and league directors are necessarily ready to facilitate competitive events. This has been a challenging period for many people who are still navigating difficult decisions regarding future events, and we ask players to be considerate and respectful in those circumstances.
