One of Stern’s most popular releases to-date, the Jurassic Park Pinball Machine generates heart pounding excitement as the player progresses through the game encountering the wilds of Isla Nublar.

To celebrate this milestone anniversary, the team at Stern has created a software update available for all existing versions of the game. The update offers new ways to play; including Co-Op Play, Team Play, and a 30th Anniversary Insider Connected Quest. The update also brings additional polish and refinement throughout the game experience. Co-Op Play gives players the unique ability to collaborate in order to escape Isla Nublar and reach the ultimate wizard mode, “When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth!” Team Play allows players to challenge each other in any combination of 1 to 4 players. Axes have been around since prehistoric times and were one of the earliest tools used by man. The first throwing axe came about in the bronze age, about 5,000 to 10,000 years ago.

Axe throwing gained popularity in the Middle Ages around 400-500 AD with German Goth tribes. Their axes were known as Franziska axes and were popular weapons in battle. Today it is a popular hobby, particularly in bars, but expanding to Family Entertainment Centers.

If you are looking for another entertainment option for your location, resurrecting the ancient art of axe throwing could be your ticket to making an epic party environment. But how can you start? Read on to find out all you need to know.

Axe Throwing Safely

You must have some safety rules for your axe-throwing contest to avoid incidents. Make sure to abide by them to ensure everything stays safe.

Have Everyone Sign a Waiver

It would be best to have everyone participating in axe throwing sign a waiver. Ensure the release says you are not liable for death or injury during axe-throwing games.

Having patrons sign a waiver will absolve you of any legal consequences resulting from an axe-throwing incident. It will also make your patrons realize the gravity of axe throwing before participating.

Hire an Axe Coach

It would be best if you had one of your staff members be well-versed in axe-throwing mechanics and theory. If no one on your staff has these capabilities, consider hiring an independent axe-throwing coach.

The primary purpose of this individual will be to instruct newbies on the proper methodology of axe throwing. They should provide a crash course on operating throwing axes, so nobody gets hurt.

Isolate the Axe Throwing Area

While you may want to make sure that your axe throwing is the centerpiece of your bar, ensure that you have an indoor arena isolated from the rest of the bar. Hanging some plexiglass so people can watch is a great idea.

An alternative is to buy an Axe Master machine arcade version of axe throwing so that people can practice their skills. This can be your only axe-throwing option or a preliminary game to see if patrons have what it takes to enter the arena. Games With Advertising Functionality and How to Set Them Up:

BIG BUCK HD WILD

To unlock the advertising feature in Big Buck HD, you must first sign up for a CoinUp account. The CoinUp website will allow you to create, edit and change advertisements on the Big Buck cabinet screen. If you have questions about how to set this up, GAD can help.

*Note: Once advertisement creation has started, do not use the browser back button if you need to go back to a previous step. Use the Back button beneath the ad creation interface.

Details – Give the advertisement a name and start/end dates.
Graphics – Upload the graphic(s) to display. Ensure the image(s) file adheres to the specified format and size constraints.
Game Machines – Select which game units will display the advertisement. Only applicable game machines will be displayed in the list.
Once you have everything set, you’ve reviewed the advertisement settings, and you are satisfied, click Submit Advertisement.

WORLD’S LARGEST PAC MAN & SPACE INVADERS

Space Invaders Frenzy and World’s Largest Pac-Man have an advertising feature that can be played during the game’s attract mode. To use this feature correctly, please take note of the following steps and recommendations:

On your personal computer or laptop, upload 1 to 3 images via a USB drive that you would eventually like to have displayed on your Space Invaders screen. Image files should be TGA, .PNG, or .JPG format type.
After you have your images picked out, sized, and uploaded onto your USB flash drive, you are now ready to upload the images into Space Invaders Frenzy.
***Important*** Make sure your flash drive is inserted when the game is in attract mode. Do not insert the drive when the game is during boot-up or when it is in the test menu.
Open the coin door and find the service bracket that has the test menu and service buttons. You will find a USB slot on this bracket to insert your flash drive.
Once your USB flash drive is inserted into the USB slot on the service control panel, you can then press the TEST button to access the main menu.
Select ADVERTISING from the main menu to access the upload feature. You can select an ad slot for your image from this menu.
After you are in the AD SLOT MENU, you can select LOAD IMAGE, which generates a list of the file names of the image files that are on your USB drive. Navigate to the file name you would like to upload and select it.
When you select the image you would like to upload; you will be presented with a preview of the image, which you can accept or decline. If you accept the image, you will be taken back to “AD SLOT MENU,” allowing you to load a different image, adjust the ad brightness, preview the image again, clear your image or exit the menu.

PAC MAN BATTLE ROYAL CHOMPIONSHIP

Namco’s Pac-Man Battle Royale Chompionship offers an advertising feature on the Deluxe cabinet. Follow the steps below to start advertising on your Deluxe Chompionship machine.

Images should be RGB color model and no bigger than 1280 x 720 pixels. Extra space will be black if the aspect ratio of the loaded image isn’t the same as 1280 x 720. The files must be JPEGs and the file name must end in “.jpg”.

SKEE BALL GLOW

The Skee-Ball marquee is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity for use by the business owner. Use with the Bay Tek GO app, available for download on iOS and Android. This feature allows locations to program the scrolling marquees of each game to customized messages, such as birthday announcements and daily specials.

The N17 menu does not effectively change Bluetooth settings but shows scrolling messages and the status of the app settings if it has been used previously.

DON’T FORGET THE MUSIC

If you have an AMI Jukebox (and if not, GAD can help you get one), they are all compatible with the AMI Ad Manager Tool, which is a promotional tool that transforms your AMI products into robust digital signage systems. You can create, edit, and schedule ads from the palm of your hand using AMI’s Co-Pilot app, or from a computer.

Bonnie Moor Black is a classic links-style golf course in every sense. The punishing, beautiful fescue guard fairways and greens, and trademark pot bunkers return with a vengeance. Fans of the original will marvel at this new creation, and those greeting Bonnie Moor for the first time will fall in love with the views, obstacles, and another legendary closing hole.

Sprague, Washington

More than two million years ago, a glacial lake broke free of a larger mass, sending an enormous wave sweeping across eastern Washington. The floods it brought would reshape the land, making the Scablands a melting pot of geographical offerings. The land is rugged, without question. Potholes, canyons, boulders and dirt are prominently featured throughout the round. Still, somehow, there’s plenty of green to be found. This a golf course that isn’t quite sure what it wants to be, and we mean that in the best possible way. A course truly millions of years in the making.

TPC Southwind
Memphis, Tennessee

One of the most popular golf destinations in the United States, TPC Southwind is a staple of the PGA TOUR calendar and home to the St. Jude Classic since 1989. The par-3s on the course are undoubtedly its trademark, including Hole 11 and its island green, and Hole 14 which stretches out to over 230 yards. A boast-worthy score is yours for the taking with solid iron play…if you’re up to the challenge.

TPC Summerlin
Las Vegas, Nevada

Hop on the 613 westbound from the Vegas strip. About 10 miles down the road, you’ll find TPC Summerlin, one of the finest golf destinations west of the Mississippi. This private Nevada course is now open for play in Golden Tee. With a par-5 that can approach 600 yards, and a slew of par-4s that can be reached with just the right amount of oomph, TPC Summerlin is a PGA TOUR stop that demands both power and excellence. Deliver both, and you’ll have a chance to celebrate an all-time moment in a city that knows how to do it.

Red Sands
St. George, Utah

Nestled on the Utah border, 120 miles north of Sin City, exists a place absent of casinos, bright lights and most civilization entirely. This is the desert, plain and simple. It’s rugged, dry and full of cacti. As the name would suggest, Red Sands carries a certain color tint most desert courses in Golden Tee have never seen. Only this game has seen this course before, back in 1997, when Red Sands first made its debut. Twenty five years later, this spectacle has been completely modernized. Few things, outside a good Scotch, age as gracefully as this course has. Players new and old are welcomed.

Cumberland
Asheville, North Carolina

In the Eastern part of North Carolina exists a course that has been played by millions of Golden Tee players over the past 18 years. Now, however, the lush green hills of Cumberland, a GT LIVE original, have been recreated. Its winding layout and elevation shifts make for some fascinating shots, while the bodies of water and sand traps are perfectly placed. The strategy for most of these holes are plenty defined. Hitting the shots required is another task entirely, and those willing to risk it all on a single shot will have no shortage of chances to prove their excellence.

Kangaroo Trail
Alice Springs, Australia

Smackdab in the center of Australia, like a bullseye on the dartboard, Alice Springs houses one of Golden Tee LIVE’s original destinations. Only now, nearly two decades later, Kangaroo Trail has been rebuilt and reborn. The popular Aussie course will look plenty familiar for fans of the game who have played in the past. The dried rivers, the well-positioned canyon walls and the trademark closing hole are just a part of what defines a course that requires no real introduction. With some tweaks and modifications, however, Kangaroo Trail will challenge players new and old in ways it never has.

CHICAGO, IL – (July 18, 2023) – Stern Pinball, Inc. and Marvel are collaborating to debut an all-new line of pinball games featuring one of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex, and iconic characters, Venom – who’s ready to wreak havoc. Venom pinball games are available in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition (LE) models.

Venom, an alien symbiote that bonds with various hosts, including former Spider-Man antagonist Eddie Brock, first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man comic book series in the ’80s. The symbiote gives its host superhuman strength and agility, providing creative and versatile powers out of its material. With its unique and visually striking appearance, Venom quickly became one of Marvel’s most recognizable and popular characters. Venom has been an inspiration for numerous products including: action figures, apparel, collectibles, and now pinball – cementing its continual influence on popular culture in game rooms and entertainment locations worldwide.

Stern’s Venom pinball games will immerse players into the mayhem of this antihero’s Marvel Universe, featuring more than 20 characters including: Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Black Suit Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Riot, Agony, Lasher, Phage, Doppelganger, Venomized Hulk, Venomized Wolverine and Venomized Captain America. Venom’s arch enemy Carnage is collecting Codices to awaken Knull, the God of the symbiotes. Venom must stop Carnage by battling through his army of symbiotes and the Infected to prevent him from taking over the world.

Playing as Venom, gamers will select a host to bond with at the start of each game, altering the entire gaming experience both physically and digitally. Vertical pinball lock symbiote containment vessels located on both sides of the playfield lock and quickly release balls for constant frenetic action as players explore shots through the mechanically changing Agro-Lab and Life Foundation pathways. Players will bash an interactive, custom sculpted Carnage captive ball back into Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane. Additionally, a surprise Doppelganger attack can swing into action at a moment’s notice, unveiling three uplift targets wreaking chaos.

Canvassing the Venom pinball game experience is a collection of hand-drawn comic book style artwork by renowned artist, Jeremy Packer (AKA Zombie Yeti). Depending on which host you choose, players will hear a variety of different styles of music throughout gameplay, including over a dozen music tracks from GRAMMY Award-winning musician Mark Tremonti.

Venom pinball games include Stern’s award-winning Insider Connected™ system, which enables players to interact with the game and a global network of players in a variety of ways. Through Insider Connected, players will be able to save their game progress through connectivity persistence, allowing anyone to become a (anti)hero as you advance through the game to reach the final wizard mode at the end, no matter how many tries it might take.

In addition, Insider Connected allows players to track progress, earn new game-specific achievements, engage with the player community, and participate in promotions and Challenge Quests. Insider Connected also provides an operator-focused toolset to drive location play through Location Leaderboards, build player loyalty, analyze performance, make adjustments remotely, and maintain the games.
