Looking for a home pinball game? How do you decide?
Trying to decide on your first pinball game can be a unique shopping challenge. Let’s help you focus on a few of the important issues to consider.
- Are you loving a game because of its theme – you spent hours of your childhood playing Pokémon?
- Are you looking for a game play experience that will keep you captive past the first 100 days? For years to come?
- Are you buying your first (and only) game?
People come to our showroom with a lot of questions – and we are here to help you figure out what makes sense for you.
THEME VS. GAME PLAY
Of course theme is what brings you back over and over! The music, characters and overall theme evokes the emotional connection to the game. GAD has lots and lots of very happy home game buyers that just buy on theme and really enjoy their game.
But we’d expect that you love the theme. There are many games to choose from in genres, so make a plan and do your research.
- Play a game multiple times to get the game play and shots figured out.
- Not every game plays the same. Try multiple themed games at a session to get a feel for what you find challenging.
- Research the game designer and try their games.
- It may be that you want to read or watch the game play rules and shots.
- GAD can help you with a game’s editions and features that are included. This can really change how you enjoy the game.
- Have fun with the process! Buying a pinball game is all about the long term enjoyment.
GAD has games on our showroom floors in Omaha, Kansas City and Des Moines. While you don’t need an appointment, you might want to check in before you come to make sure of our current office hours.
